Kreines Residence

Fayetteville, Ohio

HarvestBuild acted as a consultant on the natural building portion of this two-story straw-bale house. We were brought into the project after the timber frame was raised and roof installed. The home features a reclaimed timber frame, our baling-on-the-edge exterior straw-bale wall system, and our lath-n-stuff straw/clay wall system in the laundry/mudroom. Earth and lime plasters were used throughout. HarvestBuild also assisted our colleagues at Fox Natural Building, the subcontractors responsible for the straw-bale, straw/clay, and plaster work.
