Hobar Greenhouse
Avon Lake, Ohio
This straw-bale and straw/clay greenhouse is used to grow organic herbs and seedlings for a local natural foods store. HarvestBuild consulted on the design of the building, and led a weekend workshop for the Cleveland Green Building Coalition as part of the construction process. The greenhouse features our baling-on-the-edge straw-bale wall system, our lath-n-stuff straw/clay wall system, cob sculptural elements, and earth and lime plasters throughout.
